Take The Job, Brock
To send you off into the evening with something fun to dream about, loyal reader Gregg Z tips us off to this factoid churning out of the Rivals rumor mill -- Brock Spack is considered a possibility to take the head coaching spot at Bowling Green.
I don't think I'm the only one who would help Brock pack up his things for the jaunt over to Ohio. And hell yes, let's get them back on the schedule.

Coach Spack has done a fine job in the past and the Big 10 would be less of a conference without him. We are starting a petition to keep Brock Spack in West Lafayette. Please add your name to this list.

Plang, sadly no, I have never been in a boat. My son rowed for Purdue for 4 years (he graduated in May on the 4 year plan, yay!) and my wife and I ran the Parent's Club for 3 of those years, feeding up to 120 hungry kids several weekends a year.
ReplyDeleteSo we are big boosters for Purdue Crew. They are a great success story, a perennial power nationally.
I was on the team for two years in the mid 90's. Sadly, a combination of class load, money shortcomings, and coaching changes ended my rowing career there. I did enjoy it while it lasted and we did have some success.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for supporting that group. The school should make them into a scholarship sport.

I want him to stay. He did a good job with the defense this year. He is a good recruiter. He bleeds gold and black.
ReplyDeleteGiven enough talent, Spack can field a really great defense for about 46 minutes of the game. After that you just have to hope you're up by 2 scores or your quarterback doesn't fumble the ball.
