... And USC superfans breath a quiet sigh of relief to find that there is somebody actually sleazier than Tim Floyd-- though in all fairness Rick "Babbydaddy" Pitino came awfully close tho'. In retrospect 'Cats fans, was Billy Gillispie THAT awful? Inasmuch as it's a traditional D-1 hoops powerhouse (i.e., some shadiness will always likely be going on and mildly tolerated), ol' Billy ran a clean program.
Meantime, former Boiler team captain Linc Darner has quietly been making a name for himself as a D-II coach, regularly taking his ranked teams into the postseason tournament, and getting a Coach of the Year award along the way. UK's too much of a cesspool for Linc though, but I hope somebody-- Painter? Takes heed and brings this guy up to coaching D-1 where he belongs.
