Bobby. Freaking. Buckets.
There's a long way to go, but he's provided the lift that the Boilers needed. After hanging around in a tight game all night Riddell hit a couple of threes in the second half and helped Purdue expand from a 2 point lead to a 16 point lead.
Without Hummel someone needed to step up and I'm glad to say that someone finally did.
Freaking Awesome
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck has happened to Marcus Green? He looks horrible out there...
ReplyDeleteUnreal.
ReplyDeleteI also love the fact that prior to today, this picture was the closest thing to an action/celebration picture featuring Buckets (That looks like the celebration after the Wisconsin game last year but it is tough to tell).
When I turned on the XM radio coming home from work and heard the Clis talking about Buckets playing in the first half, I was more happy than concerned... strrrrreeetch that bench!!
ReplyDeleteThey did just that; this type of win is vital for all involved...Looks like no one really got tired; quite a contrast to the ass-whipping in Champagne.
ReplyDeleteJust got back from the game. It wasn't just Bobby's shooting, but his intelligence with the ball that helped. He had some great passes that got the ball to Chally and JJ int he right spots for easy baskets. He also had a couple of key boards and a steal or too. Fantastic game by him.
ReplyDeleteAnd JJ continues to play well - 13 rebounds!
ReplyDeleteGrant could definitely learn how to make an entry pass from Riddell-great game from Bobby tonight. Grant and Green must still be feeling ill from last week, they are playing horribly (I personally think they just aren't putting forth enough effort and Grant's body language has got to go!) I can't believe Battle was held to zero points tonight. Great D on him!!! Good game Boilers, great spark from Bobby!!
