From what I've heard, Charlie Weis' jewel of the recruiting class of 2007 has not yet separated himself from the other QB's in the stable. No need to write too much on the topic...I just can't wait to see the bestest player to ever play the game, Jimmy Clausen, don the sacred gold-plated helmets of NBC, er UND. I've always assumed those rings he is showing off in a flaming manner are HIGH SCHOOL championship rings, right? I mean, HIGH SCHOOL??? Who gets a title ring for high school?
I just wonder how long it will be before he starts designing his own clothes. I’m seeing something in gold denim, with green and navy stripes...

And we saw how far he went. I don't think being a blue-chip means as much anymore (though most of the experts would probably disagree). I think how an athlete does depends more on his drive and the program he's in. Natural talent plays a part - but how many guys have we seen that had amazing raw athletic talent just piss it away because they thought things should be given to them instead of working for it. Who knows - maybe Claussen will turn into a Manning. Or maybe he'll be a whinny (whinnie? wine-o?) little girl.
