Caracter Has Character Issues

Louisville's Sophomore power forward, Derrick Caracter has been suspended indefinitely after violating a team "contract" regarding curfew. Purdue is set to play the depleted Cardinals next Saturday in Indy for the Wooden Tradition.

Louisville will have 7 scholarship players available for the contest. Ouch. The Cards are 20th in the coaches poll. Now the question becomes- "Is a win over L'Ville still a quality win according to the tourney committee?"

You are considering this a win now?

As you put it in your earlier post - it sounds like not only young the players need to learn some things, but the young coaches as well. Playing in Indy may help, as it could be someone Purdue-leaning. We'll see who responds to the challenge best - players or coaches. And the game will be on national TV so I will actually get to see it - W or L.

A win is a win, period. There's stilla chance to get a couple of high-major wins outside the conference with, Louisville, Alabama (in Vegas), and at Iowa State. As long as we get 12 wins out of conference and go at least 9-9 in the Big Ten we go dancing, which would be critical for this young team. Shoot, if we knew how to close we would be undefeated right now.

9-9 in conference would be great for this young squad, in my opinion. I'd take it right now.
