I just saw that our Boilers are getting some "love" from CBS Sportline's Gary Parrish.
I guess so.
To go from unranked to 15th, to me, is a bit much. I thought high-teens would be plenty of respect...now, suddenly, Purdue will be a hunted team if the same type of rankings come out for the AP & ESPN polls. Just another challenge to see how these guys handle yet another situational dilemma in their young Purdue careers.

Some more national love from the evil empire:
I was watching ESPN Game Night last night and they had a brief segment on which team is the best in the Big Ten. One analyst said Purdue, one said MSU. They both made sure to say at least 4-5 times that the Big Ten is having a "down year" though. They would hate to give Purdue too much credit, you know.
Purdue stinks! The Big Ten stinks!
I want to keep hearing that...my anger makes me stronger.
To be fair, even Basketball Prospectus (pretty objective statistically based basketball site) gave Purdue a 13% chance at an upset on Saturday.
Even better, the Boilers were a 10.5 point underdog going into the contest on Saturday.
I love it.
I also like the fact that PU continually gets penalized for losing to Wofford, but it's obvious that this is a completely different team from the one that struggled to start games early on. They have completely changed and have 5-6 legitimate scorers (and now also lead games at halftime).
