I guess this will encourage fans being out of their seats...

Just saw this- It's a photo of two of the new seats at the Colts new stadium, Lucas Oil Field.
Hope these aren't expensive...

So, all of you fans who say new stadiums are so cold and don't have any "character" won't be able to say that about LOF. It reminds me of old Tigers Stadium, or Fenway...not in a good way, either.

I don't even see how they can legitimately sell those as "partially obstructed view" seats either. The only thing not partially obstructed by some of those are views of other fans. Maybe they supply portable TVs to the fans sitting in those seats.

I've heard Indy fans are sometimes seen doing crossword puzzles or needlepoint at games. Maybe that's the "wives of season ticket holders" section.

I would take those seats if they came with two free corn dogs each game...

I'd rather watch them on TV...unless I get free tickets...unless they are these.

They know that when the team goes back to their losing ways the stadium will once again be empty. Too many fairweather fans. Just like the RCA Dome in the mid 90's.

I don't know- It's hard for a team to have a deep fan base when history is so short and it's not a generational tradition to root for a team. My Dad cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals before the Colts came to town...or he just had loyalty to Purdue (I think most Indianapolis sports fans have stronger allegiance to collegiate teams because of the lack of pro football and basketball presence)...But, like it often happens, success breeds fans. People like Kyle (my brother) have rooted for the Colts since they were 8 years old...their kids will see them rooting each Sunday and it will be handed down. More of a belief than just a hobby- that your hometeam is important.

Time will tell. True though, the corporate squatters in the seats in the lower-level of the RCA Dome are infuriating. The upper-tier fans, ironically, seem to be the upper-tier fans.

This was in the Indy Star more than a month ago.

GERMANS!

Still noteworthy...I saw it a day ago.

It stinks- my job doesn't allow me to review the Star's drivel right when it's published.
