Nation's No. 1 RB still has Purdue in the running

According to multiple publications, Bryce Brown's commitment to the U is soft...The really great news about this is that he's still got Purdue as an option. He even says he'll eventually take an official visit to Purdue, though the date is not set. This could be big news or could just be a power play by Brown, who knows...But it's pretty great to hear that a 5-star that is the nation's number one running back is even thinking of Purdue as an option.

Wow. Talk about coming out of left field.

I can't help but think of Kyle Williams when someone talks about a 5 star recruit coming to Purdue.

No kidding...Hopefully, Purdue fans can get that bad taste out of our mouths soon with a 5-star that's not a felon!

If he's not a felon, why is the U even looking at him. Purdue can have that piece of trash. If he don't have at least 3 felony arrests, we don't want his lazy ass!

This is like the first 3 quarters of most Purdue games....

Hope, more hope, fear, disappointment, and finally anger about how you let yourself hope. Stupid, stupid hope.

The run with the double spin move was my favorite.

I'll believe this when I see it. If Hope lands this guy then my whole perception of his recruiting so far will be changed.

Here's how the press conference will go...

"I, Bryce Brown, would like to announce that I am very pleased to be committing to a great university."

--Yeah yeah, get on with it.

"It will be a pleasure to play in the Big Ten in the great state of Indiana."

--Yes! I can't believe it!

"Coach Hoeppner was such an inspiration to me..."

--DAMN IT!

"...and I love Terry Hutchens."

--SON OF A BITCH!

"Thats why I've chosen to get paid to play, err, chosen to attend Indiana University."

--...gurgling...

The swing pass at the 2:00 mark makes me want him the most. Nothing says Purdue like a "lemonade from terds" broken play.

From my wife's day's at the U...

Brett Rhomberg, starting center for the Rams and a starter on the 2001 national champs went on his official visit in December. He's from Canada, so he is quoted as saying that on the morning of his visit he was shoveling snow in his driveway. That afternoon he was being escorted by two hot latinas on South Beach. That's when he decided to go tot he U.

I must say, since my wife is a hot latina from the U, I can see why it worked...
