Purdue got a verbal from DE Trevor Foy nearly two weeks ago. He had offers from Louisville and Northwestern, so he's no slouch, he has very good size and OK speed...but he's just number 5 in the incoming class.
Ouch.
This transitional recruiting class is not filling quickly. Last week, a slew of recruits came to Ross Ade and Purdue received zero verbal commitments in the game's wake. According to Rivals, our Boilers now have a handful of 2-star players. And while it's still only September, it is September. It might be time for Hope and Co. to start offering some more players outside of the Southeast.
I'm not faulting Hope as this is a difficult situation, but his philosophy might not be working in the current unusual set of conditions.

Boilers disappoint again...in the current issue of a famous Gentlemens magazine known for its "Bunnys", the girls of the Big Ten are a feature. Why the girls from our alma mater were respectable, this contiunes to prove the BIG TEN is down.
Oh yeah, I subscribe for the articles!
I heard they were A-OK...it's all conjecture since I don't subscribe for the business features as you do...
It takes awhile to build the pipeline. You can't expect immediate results. Relax.
I'm not expecting immediate results, but I would like a full class, or close to it.
Relax.
Wait - are you saying that the pipeline dried up??? I thought bringing Hope in this year would prevent that from happening. Or did that happen before Hope got there? Is he out recruiting high school juniors right now?
. . . He had offers from Louisville and Northwestern, so he's no slouch . . .
lolololololol
It's going to be a long decade. Boiler Up??
