Matt(y) Painter made his announcement of the tri-captains for the 2008-2009 basketball season yesterday while also announcing that John Hart will redshirt this season.Your tri-captains for this season will be Robbie Hummel, Keaton Grant and Chris Kramer.
I think it's pretty cool that Robbie will be a co-captain and this fact is just a continuation of Hummel's abilities and accolades growing so much faster than any of us thought they would. And when you think about it, these guys definitely embody what it means to be a captain.
Tonight's game can't get here fast enough.

Hey, I'd like to see more Terry Hutchens skewering!!! Looked at the Star Website today, and here is what he had to say on Hummel's chances at winning the MVP this year, "5-to-2: Robbie Hummel: It's tough to argue against him. I once called him a role player, but his role might be this: the conference's best all-around player." Note the change in bravado from ol' hutch.
