Big Time.

ATM cashes in his Boiler offer

Danny Hope just got the first big time recruit of his coaching career. This is very good news as McBurse should be able to step in as a Frosh and back up Taylor. This is also significant as he is a mid-year grad. Nothing's done until the letter's signed, but this one sounds pretty solid.

Purdue beat out Nebraska, G Tech and others for this Rivals 4-star prospect.

More from ATM's press conference here.

A good, solid start. Now lets see if we have a running game next year.

Merry Christmas, Coach Hope.

Hopefully this gives Hope some momentum and he can land a few more 4 stars. Myles, Buchanan, and Opurum would be nice. Having Taylor, Bolden, and McBurse back will give us good depth at RB. I would like to see Siller running the option a lot with these guys next year.

I envision the IU Star not giving the full list of offers in reporting on this....if they do at all.

4 star players from our recent past: Bushong, Kirsch, Edwards, Lymon. Let's wait a while to pass judgment on this one.

Anon- Who passed judgement on him?

@Anon,

Edwards and Lymon were pretty good? Headcases to be sure, but they were impact players, the kind of impact players our program needs.

Also, what about Anthony Chambers, Ryan Baker, Dorien Bryant, and Ken Plue? Did you forget about them?

Matt, it's always easy to pick and choose the crux of your argument. Four-star players aren't inherently evil.

This is great. We need to get him squared away on this "University of Purdue" talk, but yeah. This is great.
