So while doing my usual porn-surfing this afternoon, I decided to look into what UConn blogs are out there and to see if they're giving us any ammunition -- that is, mocking Purdue or taking them ultra-lightly. I didn't necessarily find that yet, but what I did find was, well... take a look.
At UConn Huskies Basketball, they've located a YouTube clip of a Purdue...student, I think. She's surely hot, but I don't think she represents Purdue quite the way we might like to be represented.
"This is Purdue's bell toweerrrrrrrr.... it's kind of like the center of Purdue's campus..."
*wince*
"The rule is you're not supposed to walk underneath it, or you'll fail your next three tests... or something like that...."
*holds head*
At least she sort of knows part of the fight song. And is hot.

Over at The UConn Blog (imaginative name, by the way -- do you think this guy's kid is named "Son"?) they have a Q&A with Travis from Hammer and Rails (whoever that is).
If you read us at all, you know we are allies with Travis, but I have to give him some ribbing for this exchange... when asked what Purdue's weaknesses were, Travis went with:
Rebounding, Free throw shooting, and general shooting have all been bugaboos at times.
Holy crap! What else is there? If ever you wanted to encapsulate the mind of a Purdue fan, there you go. We may be in the Sweet 16, but we're weak everywhere. (You know we love you, Travis.)

You know J, when you make comments about your daily porn-surfing, and then put a post up mocking "Hoosiers", I just have to rib you about your "free" time at work. Then again, if it wasn't for these endless teleconferences I have been sitting in on, I wouldn't be able to comment as much as I do. So, I really hope you don't ever get crazy busy. I would be forced to spend more time on Hammer and Rails...
I don't remember girls like her from my days at Purdue....she's much hotter than the cowgirls I remember...
"I don't think she represents Purdue quite the way we might like to be represented"
Please tell me you jest. She represents Purdue better than anyone else I've ever come across. They should put her bikini-picture on T-shirts with the word Purdue scripted atop.
Looks like she's from Kappa Alpha Theta from the side of the Sorority House she was posing in... I graduated Purdue in 2007 and I could tell you that pretty much Purdue's finest were found shored up in the greek system.... surprise surprise there. So take it or leave it
Here is some potential ammo for Purdue and Missouri fans alike. I would think that the UCONN president making a challenge over a bracket match up that hasn't even come to fruition yet might be a bit presumptuous and arrogant on his part.
Official UCONN press release
Boiler up! Let's go Purdue!
I think Travis is trying to feed UCONN and its fans a little material to become overconfident, just as UW was. Good move, Travis, now we have a good shot. I have been paying attention to the coverage and Purdue is getting little mention. I think this is great and could lead to a "shocking" victory.
Hey Dowd,
Let her know she messed up the fight song. She didn't mention the friendship machine...
Photos of that chick would be great, but listening to her speak make me want to put ice picks in my ears.
Bois, actually, she did.
"Look Who's Calling, Too"
(Boiled Sports: You can use that.)
Found this today on ESPN.
I didn't know Sampson was at UConn...

Much like Sampson, there's more here than just this violation...it's like busting a gangster for tax evasion...it's just easier to make it stick.
thanks for the link...
Better invetigative journalism is now up:

Plang -- believe it or not, even when I am crazy busy, I post here. I can walk and chew gum. I do it all for your entertainment.
Hey, there are three of us at TheUConnBlog!
And my (future) child will be named Child, thank you very much. "Son" would be a ridiculous name.
Possible UConn recruiting violations.

Even as a Purdue fan, I feel like this isn't the right time for this. Yahoo could have waited until the season is over, but instead took the low road and went for the attention of breaking a story during the tournament. The coaches and players of any team in the big dance don't need this right now. Bad form.
Kevin, thanks for visiting.
nice video
