Sinking Ship...

In case you haven't seen this, Todd Lickliter has just lost four players and a recruit from this past season's roster to transfer. This leaves 7 people on the roster, including his walk-on son.

And down at Ass Hall, news came out today that Malik Story won't be returning to Bloomington next season.

No word yet out of West Lafayette if anybody's out from our favorite team...and while I'm bracing for it since it's happened each season in recent history, I'm hoping everybody sticks around...We'll probably know one way or another in the next two weeks.

I dont see anyone leaving this team whether it be transfer or draft. No one on this team is NBA ready, and if JJ makes that choice itd be a very poor one. I dont think he has the skills or the sheer size(muscle wise) to D up against the pros. And if they were smart theyd stick around especially with this core group of players. Btw cut lew jack he sucks.

Lewis Jackson sucks? Come on, dude. That's just silly. He was a true freshman and he got better right before our eyes this season... PG play is critical in college hoops and our frosh PG was able to win a Big Ten Tourney title and advance two rounds in the NCAAs. And he wasn't the reason we lost in the NCAAs.

Hard to see your point.

Ok maybe not sucks that what to much, but theres only so much a 5'9" player can do. From the highlight videos I saw of him of him in high school I expected more. None of that high flying action translated to his college game. I see your point and agree.

I definitely don't think Lew Jack sucks. However, Jay Bilas was correct that we were able to compete better with Grant Kramer Hummel Moore Johnson than Jack Kramer Hummel Moore Johnson.

Anon,
LewJack was impressive in high school because he was playing against high schoolers.

I'm ready for three more years from him.

I'm just saying a 5'9" guy can do OK...writing him off after an All-Freshman BT season is flat-out stupid.

N & C, he didn't match up well with UConn's size, no doubt about that...but how many times this year did KG look out of place on defense against quicker players? I'm glad they're both on the roster next season.

If Kelly wants to move closer to home, I sure wouldn't mind seeing him at Purdue.

I think I am a little biased. I think Grant late this season and the Grant of last season is a top 15 Big Ten Player. I think his defense is almost on par with Kramer's, and when he is knocking down threes hes a big weapon offensively. Theres a reason he was Team MVP last year.

I miss '08 Keaton.

I know he had injury problems, and I dont know his mindset. (Just like I dont know Scott Martin's.) However, maybe going from starter to bench guy affected his confidence.
