CFN Weighs in on Purdue's tackle football team

Here's a sports website that I think actually does some research before it publishes stories- CFN...smart dudes and pretty fair. If only their Purdue-centric site had some Purdue-specific people working, it'd be a good resource too.

Perhaps without the anti-BTN bias, they can do their jobs as they see fit...Who knows.

College Football News' predicts good, or not good things for Purdue next season...

I would be thrilled with 7 wins. This season, I don't care so much about the win total as I do about beating IU and ND.

According to their "realistic records" Purdue will finish last in the Big Ten this year.

I've been reading CFN for years-- it's hilarious, they've been accused of being closet OSU fans (by UM, SEC, Big 12 and Pac 10 fans), being overt OSU haters (by OSU fans), and everything in between. In fact, name any major program and conference, and they've been accused of being fans/haters at one point or another. But overall, they don't hate on the Big 10-- far from it. That's why I think they're pretty fair across the board-- because they tick off everybody at one point or another and call it like they see it.

As far as the Purdue breakdown, what they wrote (fairly positive) and the "realistic" W-L numbers they predicted (Big 10 cellar dwellers) are totally at odds with each other. But at this point, some 145(+/-) days away from the start of the season, they left a lot of weasel room.

I don't see why people were counting us out against Oregon this year. They have to rebuild their secondary and entire O-line. With both as strengths last year (and us playing awful football) we took them to double overtime.
