Matt Painter made his public statement about LewJack's guilty plea to charges of underage consumption and possession of drug paraphernalia...What the article doesn't mention is a punishment by the team.
My guess is Painter will use this as a motivation tool to:
-Keep LewJack from getting into trouble again
-Force LewJack to work harder than he would have had it not happened.
I still hope to see some sort of suspension next season...A 1-5 game suspension would suffice simply because I think there has to be a public consequence so Painter doesn't look like he'll allow this type of behavior to repeat. The Joe Tiller school of discipline doesn't work...according to the results we saw and the feedback of the players I've talked to.
So that's all for now, I guess.

I had similar thoughts. You can bet if there is a suspension, it won't be against a good team. We'll place bets once the schedule comes out.

5 game suspension sounds about right.
I am reminded of Bobby Bowden saying you can discipline in other ways than "dadgum suspensions." Such as running extra stairs at the stadium or something.
Travis, I'm getting you a pimp hat for Christmas.
