The speculation will definitely end on Friday as Robert Marve will officially announce where he's going following his departure from UM...but ESPN is breaking it a bit earlier. While I don't know who "a person familiar with the decision" might be, I do know that ESPN's been wrong before...but they called that Marve would be a Boiler weeks ago.
I don't care if he comes or goes elsewhere...but may the best man win the quarterback job in West Lafayette...and if he comes, I hope he's ready to either stay out of trouble or get arrested often- West Lafayette PD has a lot less to do than does the Miami PD.
Here's to Mr. Marve having a productive few years in God's country.

I found a rouce yesterday that said it was Tennessee, so who knows...
I wouldn't put it past Lane to offer him something "extra" to go to UT. But if he decides to come to Purdue, I hope that Hope (too much fun with that name) has a true competition for QB and doesn't just hand it to him.
If it's true, first McBurse, now Marve. If nothing else, this shows us that Coach Hope has the recruiting horsepower that Purdue has sorely needed for a LONG time. If Coach Hope can help these Blue Chippers to mature on and off the field, the future looks VERY bright for the Boilers.
Lame Kitten stopped stealing recruits and tried to steal our transfer, I cant wait to see him fall on his face in the SEC.
Wikipedia says he's a quarterback at Purdue...so it must be true.
Competition at the QB position is a good thing. I'm still vying for Rob Henry, but Marve would make an excellent addition. Everyone deserves a second chance, especially at that age. Hope's rope needs to be short though.... and Marve needs to start speaking for himself, not his Dad or High School coach. Time to grow up and Boiler Up!
I hope that Marve makes the most of his second chance. If Rob Henry beats him out for the starting job, I fear it could get ugly.
CFL just said that Marve will announce tommorrow live, they tried to trip up Lame Kitten as well by asking him how Marve would fit into his team. I wish he would have answered, 2 violations in one day?
