Boilerdowd touched on this below, but I just have to ask... Cleveland fans, and anyone else who cares... does this:

Yes, it does put "The Shot" to rest.
If Jordan's shot fails, our season continues. It didn't, and our season ended.
If LeBron's shot failed, our season ends. It didn't, and we will move on.
Not unless the Cavs win the series.
Now if only they can find a way to erase the memories of "The Drive", "The Fumble" and 60 years of Indian ineptness...

No it doesn't make up for it. The Jordan over Ehlo shot ended the Cavs season. It also symbolizes the years of torture that he exerted over Cleveland.
If, and now it's a big if, the Cavs beat Orlando and go on to win the Finals, then it will have put that shot to rest.
