Pat Fitzgerald has re-upped with Northwestern and is now under contract through the 2015 season. Fitzgerald quietly guided the Cats to a solid 9-4 season last year despite purple being their primary color.What I love -- LOVE -- about Adam Rittenberg's analysis of the situation is that it appears that for a young, Irish, up-and-coming coach who is from the Chicago area, coaching at Notre Dame wouldn't be all that appealling. Fitz loves Northwestern (I know!) and says that's where he wants to be.
It's going to be so much fun when Fat Charlie gets fired from Notre Dame and they have to hire their seventh choice and then claim he was the top choice all along, whomever he turns out to be.

What? No mention of our final 2010 bball commit? Also, looks like Hope got his first 2010 football commit and first commit from Indiana.
