Twitter: Not as horrible as I might have thought

If you're on Twitter and you love your Boiled Sports...can't get enough, in fact...You probably ought to follow "purduebuzztap". He'll not only let you know when a new post is up on the greatest site in the wide, wide world of sports, but he'll also tell you about what's going on in the entire Purdue sports nation...and he links our pal Travis too over at Hammer and Rails.

I don't know who purduebuzztap is, but I do love him or her so.

I am still not impressed with Twitter, but thanks for the link. As for me, I will stay with the Australian Aborigine, the Indiana Ocean Islander that has never seen technology, and Edna from Duluth in virtually ignoring Twitter.

You cannot help but like twitter when you hear how the opposition in Iran is using it. Iran - meet the internet...

Anon- I almost added that to the post when I made it...It's pretty great that it's being used this way.

Truly unfiltered info can be great...or mundane, depending on the topic.

Great point, Anon, that's the first good use of Twitter I have seen.

dowd, did you see you got called out by the Crimson Quarry today? Is it time for a good, old fashioned blog war?

I just responded via comment on Crimson Quarry. I had no idea it was an IU blog -- I thought it was a place where I could purchase red rocks.

I write to introduce myself as a member of the business development team at Watercooler-Inc.com. Our company provides approximately 40 million television and sports fans with social media networking platforms (10 million of which are NFL and college football related) and we are currently working towards some exciting company developments. Presently we’re reaching out to members of the sports blogosphere to offer our widgets and let you know we would like to keep in touch, possibly building on some business development opportunities in the near future.

For now you’re welcome to use any of our company’s FanSection widgets at the below link.

http://widget.fansection.com/

We have trivia widgets for Purdue football and approximately 40,000 users have installed our Purdue Facebook applications. Thus we hope our widget can help you increase your visitor retention rate and length of stay.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions, we look forward to hearing from you.

Cordially,

Scott Thomas
