I'm not sure when this was written, but it was recently tossed around on the Big Ten Bloggers Google group. Two of our Big Ten brethren made the list of the ten most obnoxious college football fan bases, according to Fox Sports.Of course, any time you make lists, there's always debate -- which is why making lists is so popular.
But it's hard to argue with a lot of these. In fact, are there any you'd put into the top ten besides those mentioned?
And, of course, you'll never guess who is number 1. Hey, at least they finished first in one ranking.

Rather entertaining. I think the dig against OK is the funniest.
I remember reading this months ago. Not a bad list. I find it strange that Clemson was on the list. But I would put Ohio State fans as worse than Michigan fans as far as obnoxiousness goes (and they deserve to be). This is even coming from a guy who lived in Detroit, where everyone loves Michigan but nobody went to school there. (Of course, similar things can be said about many fanbases all over the country.)
Not Purdue's.
S-Du - if UM were having the kind of decade OSU has been having they might be just as bad. That said, I've never thought of UM's fan base as that hard to take. The SEC and Big 12 ones are spot-on, though.
Having been to all of Purdue's football home games since '97, except one (dumb girlfriend!), I would have to say Wisconsin fans rank right up their with the Ohio State fans as most obnoxious! They may not be as obnoxious at home, but the ones that travel drove me up the wall!
