When you win, people notice.

Carson Wiggs and Ryan Kerrigan received BT POW honors today following their excellent performances v. aOSU. Kerrigan added to his conference award with national recognition by earning the weekly Walter Camp Award as well.

Well done, gents!

But let's be honest, a ton of guys played great on defense Saturday- King, Pender and Williams were all noteworthy...all five linebackers that played were solid...Neal's strength opened up the ends and Brown and Gooden both got into the act as well. And Gravensande, just by successfully and cleanly fair-catching punts time and time again, earned something, at least in my mind...Elliott was just 'out of the money' as offensive player of the week and Valentin and Smith made him look good the entire afternoon. There's a ton to be proud of.

You know who DIDN't notice? ESPN.

I was out of town Saturday, but even though I was home after midnight, I had to know how the Boilers pulled it off.

The College Game Day studio crew gave me a good 10 minute discussion about how OSU lost, mistakes they made, and basically how they had an unimaginably bad day.

Sunday Sports Center was no different, with OSU highlights and one short clip of a Boiler touchdown.

Suck it, ESPN.

I don't know if that's completely fair- I stayed up pretty late just to soak up the nat'l. highlights. They did talk about aOSU & specifically, Pryor's mistakes...and rightfully so. But, they also gave props to Purdue's defense and even showed the students flooding onto the field. Plus, Lou Holtz gave Kerrigan a helmet sticker (but seemed senile in doing so).

All that said, EsPN can most-definitely suck it.
