I watched the end of the Syracuse game too. I thought that the timeout call was very questionable. The question is when is a timeout officially granted because the whistle was clearly not blown until after UConn had possession. You can see Boehiem calling for a time out as Jardin is driving. But real question is, why the hell did the players not recognize they had a fresh shot clock? In my opinion a coach should not be able to call a timeout to bail-out an idiotic player decision. I know it happens all the time in loose ball situations, but it just seems wrong that a coach can stop play at any time when they have possession.
BTW, after watching that game I was not overly impressed with Syracuse. They're a good team and possible title contender don't get me wrong, but I don't think they're in a different class than Purdue.
Allen -- They're not. And I can't wait for them to do what they ALMOST did last night so we can demand apologies from all the Syracuse stooges who attacked Travis the other day.
Hey, you guys talked about going more Indycar from here on out. not to be an Indycar hater, but I was hoping you'd stick with covering Purdue-centered sports specifically like you had been for the most part so-far. I enjoy hearing the banter go back and forth and like the points you guys put up there. I always bounce between your site and H&R to get your perspectives. BS typically has a fun spin on things and great writing. I just hope that doesn't go away too much.

I would like to thank Joey for giving me props for starting the IU sucks cheer. That is by far one of the finest moments of my college career.

Also? Syracuse LOST TO A DIVISION II SCHOOL.
It's neat how the advertisement is blaring loud but our 'cast isn't.
I saw two clowns on my way to my morning power hour today wearing ND football hats... huh? I think the campus you want is a little to the northeast...
I was alive for IU's last banner, but certainly not old enough to remember it.
I was alive and remember it...Keith Smart was a bad dude.
Say you don't know Keith Smart?
Precisely.
