While I wish Mr. Elliot all the best in the Draft, I have to say I'm anxious to move on. Throughout the Painter/Elliot regime I have longed for an accurate QB. I guess Brees had me spoiled. When he was at Purdue, he was knocked for arm strength, but all he did was make throws that set receivers up for Yards After the Catch.
Here's hoping Marve, Siller, Henry- ANYBODY can step up and deliver accurately.
I'm up for the competition this Spring/Fall...but Marve has got all the tools- accuracy is just one of the things he'll bring to the table...plus, he's got a cannon and can move.
First off- Freshman starting on a team that wasn't very good. Second, I've got some stats too- 67% completion rate,48 TDs, 13Int, 4830 yards, 7 yds/carry, 8 rush TDs...in one season in high school.
Sure, those are high school numbers, but the numbers are solid. People I've talked to that have seen him throw in practice are impressed...I'm optimistic about him. And honestly, I'm surprised he's gotten this far. His academics are sound and sounds like he's been a good teammate too. There's no reason for trepidation at this point...and I am stoked about the spring game.

Marve at Miami:
116/213 passes
1,293 yards
9 touchdowns
13 interceptions
and he lost his starting spot to Jacoby Harris.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
