Nothing to see here...Big Ten Champs. Ho hum.
Sure, members of the national media said Purdue might not win another game after Hummel went down...but those blowhards won't take responsibility for their errant statements.
Atop that, members of the blogosphere reveled in the catastrophic tear of a 21 year old's ACL and declared Purdue all but dead...doesn't matter either.
What does matter is Purdue won part of the conference crown for one of the toughest leagues in America...and no one cares. The story is Evan Turner...and tough Tom Izzo.
It's Purdue against the world...And I'm OK with that.

KG is a hard-working, never-quit guy and he gets some real good payback today for keeping at it. Also, JJ had a sick jam on the break, and Barlow made that put-back dunk look so casual it's almost funny. Nothing more to say than Boiler Up!
JJ's monster slama-jama and Barlows put back should both be in SC's top ten. Barlow got so freakin high on that thing! and JJ almost broke the hoop in tremendous fashion!
Glad KG had a stellar game and him, CK, and MW get their rings!
I was listening to the local sports radio talk show on the EsPN station (Salt Lake - 700 AM) and they were talking about the toury. They started out focusing on the local teams - They think BYU will get a 3 seed. Big deal. They shifted to who they thought would get to the Final 4 and all they could talk about was Kansas, KU, and Syracuse. At no point did anyone on that show talk about a fourth team. Nada, nothing. I thought about calling in, but I was driving.
Let everyone ignore Purdue. Play the part of the underdogs. But really, until Painter gets a squad to the Final 4, heck, even wins the damn thing, we will always be after thoughts. I think the team knows that.
