Coach Brey should stop coaching (if it can be called that) and sign up for the next star wars series...he's clothes may be the one thing worse than his overrated team.
How did the B10 end up with NO games today? Does this hurt/help us?
Between these yobs and Florida losing to BYU in 2OT, with only 2 games in the books my bracket is already deep in the hole. But I'm pretty happy to see the mighty Irish fall victim yet again to their hype, hubris, and cashing in on their brand name over substance. Really now-- these guys had 13 home games of their first 14 and fattened up on the likes of tomato cans like Idaho State and North Florida (Purdue is an undeserving opponent, yet Kennesaw State made the cut-- interesting logic there, Swarbrick) and they were a mid-pack team in the hellaoverrated Big East... I made the mistake of thinking they could at least handle an 11 seed before bowing out. But I'll take Domer schadenfreude any time it comes available.
A shout out to former Boiler fan favorite Cuonzo Martin, now coaching Missouri State in the College Invitational Tourney-- First round winners last night. Get em 'Zo.
I think the Big East is simply trying to demonstrate that adding more teams doesn't mean that you're any less underwhelming.
Of course, Ohio and Washington might not hang on, but so far if you wanted to script an opening day that was a) exciting and b) a kick in the teeth for some other conferences compared favorably to the Big Ten, this is about what you would write.
Lest we forget, of the 5 Big East teams that went to the NIT, only 2 made it out of their first round games... elite conference my foot. Maybe the experts will now stop shedding their clothes and prostrating before this conference, which has been shown to be at best merely OK, but eminently beatable and unworthy of the fawning attention... Eh, won't happen, but dare to dream

This made my day. ND a 6 seed? What a joke. The big east hype has to end. Btfu!
But at least 'Nova looks good.

Boiler Up!
How about that great ND education going for the two twice when down three!
Maybe they thought they would get three since the one three they did try was about halfway down and popped out.
Suck it Dores?
I picked ODU because KenPom has them ranked much higher than ND.
I hope Scott Martin enjoyed his NCAA tournament experience!

Every Big Ten fan has been saying it all year, but it takes the Big East teams to prove it:
The Big East sucks, and the national media needs to get off their...Well, BS said it best.
In all seriousness though, who has the better forehead? Crean or Brey?
So the Big East's only win on Day 1 is an overtime win for a 2 seed over a 15 seed. Well done Big East!

IceT:
Crean has the better forehead. His is more of a billboard quality while Brey's is more of a retreating hairline.
The Big East when 1-4 yesterday? I had Georgetown making it a little further than that. I wonder what the Cuse is going to do today.
