Get Ready To Welcome Digger; College GameDay Coming to Purdue in January

As first reported over at H&R, the basketball version of College Gameday is coming to Purdue on January 22, 2011. Purdue hosts Michigan State that evening.

All I can say about this is.... it's about fricking time.

Of course, it would be a hard one to ignore, since that game will almost certainly be a matchup of top 5 teams and could fairly easily be a matchup of #1 versus #2.

Screw these guys. They consistently dog Purdue and the Big Ten at the expense of the Big East and ACC. I hope they are drown out by an overwhelming chorus of boos.

While I dislike how the MSM treated Purdue last season, booing would be a big error when they come to town. You can discount the importance of GameDay all you want, but having Mackey and the Paint Crew on national TV for a couple hours on a weekend morning can only do good things for Purdue and we need to give them every reason to come back again every season. Forget booing, we just need the Paint Crew to continue to be the best student section in the country and represent Purdue well.

It would be a sin to not boo Digger's entrance.

The rest of the time, rabid cheering would be appropriate.

Yes. I think a BIG welcome for Digger should be in order. The rest - all positive.
