Enjoyed the show guys but I think there might be a misconception on how much in the black Purdue really is. Some people have said Purdue has had the money all along and that's why the gave Matt what they did.
They keeps bags of cash under the bell tower in case of zombies attacking or something but maybe things are tighter than we think.
But I remembered reading an article awhile back about athletics deptarments.

only 14 of the 120 athletic departments with an FBS program made money from athletics during the 2009 fiscal year. This is down from 25 programs the previous fiscal year.
Purdue and Indiana also made profits. According to The Indianapolis Star, Purdue reported a profit of around $230,000, while Indiana made $145,000.
When dealing with a budget of millions and millions $230,000 isn't much, heck you might as well say they broke about even.
