Indiana Reported a violation involving Crean going to see Harris at his High School one day after the contact period ended. The violation was self reported, and it's a secondary violation, which means that any outcome shouldn't be terrible. The issue is that the program is under probation until this November..

Let's not make this an IU blog, eh?
We have no bad news, it would be like reporting about how the water is calm and the air is still there.
Fact fondue should be out tonight.
Ohhhh, I see, you just say screw the rules, I'll self-report right away. It's minor. I get that this isn't a major violation, but how difficult is it to figure out which dates are in play and which aren't? This is obviously blatant! Same old shenanigans going on at ole IU! Love the caption, btw!
At least they reported it unlike their last guy. Personally, as much as I hate IU, it was just a silly mistake. It was just 1 day, and I am sure we have all made similar mistakes with our own work and personal lives; I know I have. Had he done this a week after the contact period, okay then we need to hit IU's wrist a little harder. We shouldn't worry or by that joyful about this, he really just committed a silly little mistake that Crean is at least owning up to.
Why doesn't a media person just ask Crean if he knew the 10/5 end date? If he says yes he did then he just admitted to breaking the rule on purpose. If he says no, the follow up question is how can a D1 head coach not know that date, he hits it every year? Your no answer is not credible. Right now Crean is hiding behind a spokesman's statement that is designed to obscure the facts.
What about this is difficult to follow???

A toddler could follow this color-coded calendar correctly!
Frank Kendrick
Good one, Ron. That would sting if Purdue had been under probation for major violations at the time Frank Kendrick had made his "mistake".
