Order Your Boiled Sports "Mission: Houston" Shirt NOW!

Maybe you haven't seen the handy link to the right of where you're looking right now. Go on over there. You're looking for a snazzy t-shirt stretched over a snazzy body. We'll wait.

Doesn't that look nice? (No, the t-shirt! We know the girl looks nice!) For a better look at the shirt -- and without the distraction of our lovely model -- here you go:

Here you can see Matt Painter's quote from when Rob Hummel went down in October: "Our goals haven't changed." The mission remains the same! To go to Houston!

And to that end, in the tradition of Houston being known as "Space City," Boilerdowd designed a mission patch for the back of the shirt, featuring Smooge, JJ and Matty as your leaders on "Mission: Houston 2011."

Shirts are available in men's and women's and in multiple sizes. Check the BS online store for availability. Price remains just $18 and that includes shipping! How can you go wrong? You aren't getting a shirt this nice for $18 in the campus bookstores!

Order yours today and help keep BS afloat. (See what I did there? Tossing a little guilt in at the end...)

The BS Mission: Houston shirt -- sure to become an instant classic. (I don't even know what that means.)

The BS Men's Basketball Shirt -- Get one NOW!

Here they are, the long-awaited Boiled Sports shirts for the men's basketball season.

For those who had the luxury of getting a Marve-lous shirt earlier this fall, know that these shirts are of the same high-quality (and we're actually not being sarcastic -- they're really nice shirts) and material.

They are black (uh, obviously) and we have both mens and womens cuts available on our ecrater site.

The front of the shirt:

Quoting our fearless leader Matty Painter, "Our goals haven't changed." And "The mission remains the same."

The back of the shirt:

Featuring a mission patch designed by the handsome men of Boiled Sports (well, really, B-dowd, but I like to take credit for things he does). The patch features and Indiana-to-Texas basketball graphic, captains Smooge and JJ as well as Commander Matty and "Mission: Houston 2011."

Think how awesome this will look in Mackey Arena this winter. Get yours now for $18, including shipping to the United States. We ship several times a week so you can almost always expect yours within a week. However, if you have an urgent need (and yes, sometimes people do), you can send us a note and we can arrange something for you.

CHOO-CHOO, muthas!!

Marve-lous T-Shirts from Boiled Sports

You know you want one. For the first time, we're selling T-shirts (in the past, we've given them away, which, strangely, seemed to affect our profit margin -- whatever; we weren't economy majors). And, just in case you're wondering, we're only selling them for enough to be able to cover our costs and create the next BS t-shirt.

So in honor of the start of football season and the arrival on the field of Robert Marve, for just $16 (including shipping to the US, for a limited time only) you can have the following shirt.

Front:

Back:
Men's and women's sizes available. Note: the women's ones run very snugly. So if you're a petite college girl, go for it -- and feel free to post a pic on the BS Facebook page. But just be aware of this sizing.

Pictures of the shirts in action... ladies first:

And the manly version, looks basically the same:

Get 'em on eBay here. Order yours today!

Seriously, $16 TOTAL and it's on its way to you. Try to find a deal like that in campus bookstores. Or any stores, for that matter. These are high-quality shirts, too. Trust us... have we ever lied to you?

2009 BS Challenge Weiners

The plaque for the alternates is in the ladies room.

Congrats go out to our winner of the 2009 BS Challenge Extravaganza of Picking College Basketball Games Correctly Good, Greg, whose entry -- DELA WHERE???? -- wound up with a record of 50 correct picks and 13 incorrect. Well-done, good sir. You have bested us. And 499 others in our pool. Just wait until next year when we find a resource other than Yahoo that, you know, can handle more than 500 entries. Yeah, sorry about that, everyone.

And what's Greg's prize? Well, I'm glad you asked. He gets the distinct honor (debatable, especially if you write something non-fawning about PSU) of posting his rambling incoherence on the BS airwaves. Sure, sure, we realize it's kind of haughty of us to think that getting to write here is some kind of a prize. But hey, you have access to more viewers than your Facebook page so there's always that.

Greg also gets a Boiled Sports t-shirt with one of our slogans on it. It's black with gold, in true Boilermaker fashion. Sure hope Greg actually likes the Boilermakers. For many reasons.

Tune in Friday morning to see what he has to say.

No, That's Goose With Two O's

Second place was a tight race, with both the jayhawks and Hail Leroy finishing in a dead heat on points. According to the tourney challenge rulebook, ties are broken by who is closest to the final score. And by that measure, the jayhawks pulls ahead and wins our second-place price, which is simply a t-shirt and far less fanfare.

Would the winners kindly email us at boiledsports@gmail.com so we can get your addresses for shipping (and stalking, if you're hot)?

Grassy-ass. And thanks for playing. You guys make this stuff so much fun.

BS Tourney Challenge -- Still Up For Grabs

It seems like weeks ago that we started the BS Tourney Challenge. Oh, yeah, it was. Since then, the Boilermakers have achieved about what we thought they might, the Big East was anointed the best conference ever by Digger Phelps, and Penn State won a national basketball championship.

And here we are, with just one more college basketball game to go this season. Remember, the winner of the BS Challenge gets a snazzy t-shirt (similar to picture) and the chance to voice themselves on our airwaves (Webwaves?), while second place only gets a t-shirt. Third place gets an ass-grab from Tim. And remember, coffee is for closers.

So where are we? Our leader in the clubhouse -- and winner if UNC wins the whole thing -- is DELA WHERE????, who accurately prognosticated MSU versus UNC in the final game. Nicely done.

Hail Leroy hangs on to second place and will continue to hang on with a UNC win.

But who can derail these two? The top 8 in the standings all have UNC winning and thus will all remain in lockstep if that happens. However, Digger's Stinky Palm and The Bracket have MSU winning it all and, thus, will finish 1-2 if that happens. Interestingly, only about six entries have Sparty winning it all. So either Purdue's blowout over them made people think they didn't have what it takes or everyone began believing the ESPN hype about the Big East.

If you wind up being the winner -- and really, the only two winners can be DELA WHERE???? or Digger's Stinky Palm -- please shoot us a note at boiledsports@gmail.com so we can correspond and get your guest-spot set up. Your brilliance will be required by early afternoon on Thursday and will be posted Friday morning so start thinking about what to say. It's kind of like the Oscars.

Good luck, all.

J Money Heading to Indiana...other notes

I saw this and thought of J Money right away.

J's coming into town for the bi-yearly BS meeting which centers around the Purdue v. UM contest. Special thanks to Travis at Off the Tracks for selling his corporate seats to us!

Any Day Now
With signing day less than a week away, a couple of note-worthy players on Purdue's board have yet to make their decision:

-Sterling Griffin WR
-Michael Buchannan LB
-Sam Barrington LB
-Quan Fletcher LB
-Wesley Tate RB

My gut tells me Griffin and Buchannan will be Boilers...But my gut also is perpetually telling me to make residence in the South to have access to warm Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I guess I'm saying, take my hunch with a grain of salt...or delicious icing; whichever suits you.

There ar also rumors of a few secret recruits and Barnes possibly switching...yet again to the Boilers. Question is at this point, do you really want a kid who has this much of a problem making decisions? I'd lean towards no, at this point...especially if Buchannan or another LB takes Hope up on his offer.

The Shirt off of Our Backs
If you're a Paint Crew member and you like free stuff, look for us outside of Mackey before the UM game...We might be able to help you stay clothed during the second semester; for free no less!
