Just In case you're still a fan of the olympics...

A perfect summation of the games.

Here's something to keep in mind- The pinheads at the IOC recently backed down as the Chinese Gymnastics Team told them that they're earlier documentation of their girls ages didn't count and the most recent were the most accurate...But that's not even close to the biggest example of how the IOC stinks.

Much like the UN, the IOC makes big statements and proclamations and does nothing to follow up when those rules, regulations and warnings are broken. Even more bothersome is the fact that China, it's opening and the games on a larger scale are being praised by NBC, the world media and the IOC as a great success. This is a travesty.

These games are at best a sham and at worst a disgusting example of the worst the world has to offer...Read here for more...and make sure to click all of the links along the way for details.

I'm saddened and angered in hindsight by the fact that I actually watched these olympics on TV. The painful fact is that moneys from McDonalds, Nike and others were poured into the heartless, human-crushing machine called the PRC because of hypocrites like me. While sport is entertaining and I love to see America win, there are better ways to support her than watching this olympiad. Damnit.

China, you can suck it.
IOC, you can too- you empowered Hu and the PRC's march toward ZERO progress in the realm of human rights and freedom was made during the past two weeks/two years. But honestly, what level-headed person would believe that negotiating and bargaining with a communist regime would end any other way?

This just in.

As you may have heard, the IOC investigated the Chinese gymnasts on allegations that they're under age and therefore ineligible to compete. The IOC wrapped up the investigation after a mere 4 short hours.

Continuing our developing story, we've intercepted a phone call from the Chinese government made to the International Olympic Committee. This may shed some light on the brevity of the investigation. The transcript follows:

IOC: Hello, this is the IOC. We have found evidence that three of your gold medal winning gymnasts are under the minimum required age.

China: Who is this? Frank? At least you could have said you were calling from Shanghai.

IOC: No Mr. China, I'm afraid this really is the IOC. We're going to have to strip those athletes of their gold medals.

China: Listen here mother father! I made you! I own you! Without me you're nothing!

IOC: I'm sorry, but you broke the rules.

China: No, no, let me apologize for getting upset. What I meant to say earlier was that I'd like to have you over for dinner. We're eating your balls!

IOC: Oh. Um. Sixteen. Yep they're all sixteen. Thanks again. Have a great day. Please don't shoot me.

They grow up so fast...

In an exclusive Boiled Sports breaking news story, we're proud to report to you that China's gymnasts are all in fact far older than we expected when we began this investigation.

From left to right, He Xing Wang, aged 38. Yi Jiang Ling, aged 33. Xe Che Ming, aged 39. And the eldest of the group, the fine Te Chung Win, a mindblowing 44 years old. You'd never have guessed it. They look like they're 8, but they're really all adults, and have been for many years, and you can't prove otherwise.

Defective Pitcher. Made in China.

The main player returning to the Indians in the CC Sabathia trade now lies in a hospital in China after being intentionally drilled in the back of the head by a Chinese pitcher. Apparently the Chinese were angry that their starting catcher (Wang Wei) had been bowled over and had to leave the game and then their backup catcher (Yang Yang) was also bowled over. So it makes perfect sense then to throw at someones head... Sure. Great idea. Five US players hit. One still in the hospital. This just days after another US player was also hit in the head and is still recovering from that.

Reacting to hazardous air hurts our feelings :(

Four US cyclists who wore masks over their nose and mouths over pollution fears when arriving in Beijing apologized Wednesday to Olympic organizers, the city of Beijing, and the people of China.

Let me get this straight and go over some of the facts here.

1. The US Olympic Committee issued all athletes these masks.
2. Beijing's air is horribly polluted.
3. Olympians are world class athletes.
4. Breathing hazardous air may impair your performance as a world class athlete.
5. You are trying win a gold medal in said Olympics.
6. You, as an athlete, want to prevent any impairment of your performance.

So because you don't want to give yourself immediate lung cancer you're seen as embarrassing the host country. Well you know what? El screw-o you-o. Let me flip you the bird there China. You know what should be more embarrassing to you? The fact that your air is so horrible that the average Beijing citizen wears a mask every day as they walk around your city.

If you had clean air then you wouldn't have athletes walking around wearing masks. I personally hope that 90% of the athletes walking in the opening ceremony are wearing masks. Who cares what China thinks about that. Your first priority as an athlete is to make sure that you're prepared for the games. If that means you don't want to breath soup, then I'm all for you protecting yourself.

A writer for the Seattle Times said it perfectly. "Apparently in the eyes of the U.S. Olympic Committee, winning at these Olympics comes secondary -- to honoring the Benevolent and Protective Host City of Beijing and people of China."

So ask yourself this question. Would you really want to breath this air?

Beijing 2008: Racism, Content Blocking, and More!

As Boilerdowd notes below, the Olympics are officially a joke at this point. I remember actually enjoying the Olympics and feeling some sense of national pride when we'd win things. But the International Olympic Committee has basically sucked that out of everything. Awarding games to cities that shouldn't have them, shuch as Atlanta, whose nominating committee lied about heat risks to..... oh, say, Beijing, a city in a country with human rights atrocities, air unsuitable to breathe, censorship that includes this here site and -- oh yeah -- communism.

This morning, I heard one more disgusting factoid that I hadn't heard until now, mainly because I've been ignoring anything Olympic-related. A co-worker of mine has an in-law who is in China working and he reported back that, even though not a lot is being made in the media, the bars around Beijing have been instructed not to allow blacks or Mongolians in.

Um, wait, what?

Shanghaist had this story a couple of weeks ago and they got it from the South China Morning Post. And that's.... that's just disgusting and horrifying. Shanghaist further updating the happenings here, and while there are some semi-official denials that this is true, it's not being flatly refuted and when you consider the controlling, propagandizing nature of the Chinese government, that's saying something.

I was already disinterested in the Olympics this year and I find it preposterous that that city and that country get to host a Games where the motto is "One World, One Dream." And now I'm already sick of it. Today was the first morning that Matt Lauer was parked in Beijing and as the Today Show began, there he is.... wait for it... on the Great Wall of China. Goodness, how cliched. And there's a beautiful view of the city... well, it's sort of beautiful. I mean, it would be beautiful if you could see through all the brown air hanging there.

"Now we are entering a state of war"

The headline is a quote from a press release this morning...can you guess the country and who the enemy is in this "war"?

A. Irag (Insurgent Terrorists)
B. Iran (Israel)
C. China (Protesters)
D. Germans (French)

If you answered "C", you know your Chinese Government!

The Chinese government has decided keeping "harmony", ironically at the cost of human lives, is the most important item on the agenda as they prepare for their close-up.

Nice job, Hu, and the rest of you! Use any means necessary!!! Damned Tibetans.

Oh, one more thing- is a warzone a good place to host the olympics?

Stuff that's making me want to revert to my life of organized crime

Not many people know this, but I used to be a big time gangsta. You know, mean, mean dude. But, I'm a family man now under the care of the witness protection program, and the thought of my old life doesn't pop into my head very often. But it did today. Why, you ask? Here's why:

Bill Self & Brett Favre being wishy-washy.
You two jackholes need to act like men and not 13 year-old girls. Your lack of fortitude and commitment to your word is annoying. Make a decision and shut it.

The IOC telling China to respect human rights
Gimme a damned break. If you morons had any brains in the first place you would have never given the lying red nation a gift of hosting your crappy games. I've been to China three times...I could have told you after the first visit that it sucked and I didn't want to come back...But, despite months of investigation, you guys couldn't figure that out, now the world is protesting their hosting of the games. Turns out, their blatant disrespect for human life and freedom aren't the only reasons they shouldn't be hosting.

Their facilities look like they're not going to be completed- from the Olympic Village to many of the venues, there's a ton of construction that looks like it won't be finished in time. Good thing they've got unlimited willing labor, huh?

The air quality is awful there, and it's not going to get any better. I'm pretty sure there will be more athletes deciding not to attend the 2008 games for this or other reasons. Speaking of, there have been multiple home-grown terror plots that have been thwarted already...Not from the Tibetans either.

Suck it, China, Suck it, IOC.
