Signing Day
It's about 7 hours from the time when the official faxes start rolling into the football offices at Mollenkopf...and here's where we stand:
Higgs & McBurse are a done deal.
As for everyone else, I'm not believing they're Boilermakers until they're officially signed...with the exception of Henry, maybe, you just never know.
South Florida, Ole Miss, Illinois, FSU, IU, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, South Carolina and Nebraska all might still believe the same thing. So you can bet your sweet arse that this game isn't over until the clock hits 0:00. The good news is we're only seconds from finality, one way or another...then all speculation can stop.
The two main players that are the biggest mystery for Hope's sake are Buchanan and Griffin. Honestly at this point, I feel good about neither player.
On the other side of the coin are there any late surprises a la Dorien Bryant that might make their homes in West Lafayette for the next four years?
We'll all know much more very soon.
This will go on the shelf with

Is Ben Franklin a three-star or four-star recruit? I hope he signs with us!
You really want another underachieving headcase with stone hands like Dorien Bryant?
Franklin's an electric player...good size and speed. He could be a key to Purdue's defense in the coming four years.
Dorien Bryant, while an underachiever, was still a surprise...and at the time surpassed Noel as the biggest-time WR recruit Tiller had signed. I think you could also make the same argument for A.T. Simpson, who I believe was a 4-star out of high school as well...but everyone knew he'd be coming to W. Lafayette, unlike DB.
This just in:
Gold&Black.com is saying that Buchanan chose to be an Illini.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Griffin.
What were the "mystery recruit" rumors?
I heard Franklin's first choice was Penn, followed by Penn State with Purdue being a distant third; word is he wants to stay close to home so his family can see him play!
Dozer- Griffin's off the board...USF.
