Photo Fun With Marqueis Gray and Ricardo Allen

I found the below photo and sent it to B-dowd saying, "I like how hard Marqueis Gray appears to be trying in this picture."

His response: "He thought it was a race to the goal line."

Had to share. Carry on.

Ricardo with the win!

Classic BS Photo: Idiot Fans In Ohio

This weekend, Ohio and Ohio State are playing, which give me the opportunity to post one of my favorite pics of stupid fans:

That photo is from last year's OSU-Ohio tilt. And, yes, those tools are wearing Ohio shirts -- including the one on the right mocking OSU -- and Ohio State hats. Seriously, fellas?

As I recall, Ohio kept this game alarmingly close for the first half and I snatched this screengrab as they were panning the crowd as the teams went to the locker rooms at halftime. So these guys were, presumably, cheering Ohio for keeping it close... right?  And then, after the game, drinking beer and high-fiving over the Buckeyes win.

Because, I would imagine, they went to Ohio but root for Ohio State. Awesome.

It's fans like this that are embarrassing to the rest of us. You can't even pick a side of the fence to stand on... during the game?

Today In Ridiculous Photographs

Sometimes I come across completely whacked pictures. Usually, I save them and try to find a use for them in a post at some point. Sometimes, though, they wind up in the archives and don't get used. In any event, I'm going to try to share some of them with you as I come across them.

So to end your week, here's a picture of Wayne Gretzky wearing only soap suds while Mark Messier looks on with a far-too-dreamy smile on his face, while wearing an outfit my dad might have worn while coaching my soccer team in 1985.

Hey, have you ever been to Edmonton? It gets lonely up there. And cold, too.

Gosh, I Can't Figure Out WHY People Hate Duke

As promised on last night's Handsome Hour, here's the photo capture of Brian Goonbek's white-man-trying-to-be-street rap-gesture during the P Diddy intro to the National Title game on Monday night.

"Brian make Z! Ooga ooga ooga!"

Like I said, just in case you needed more reasons to hate Duke and their fans. Their fans who, as I posted via FB yesterday, decided the best way to write about their championship was to tell the rest of the world to F off -- repeatedly -- and to make up absolutely laughable nonsense about how the refs were out to get them.

That's enough about Duke until at least December.

Drew, What Are You Doing?

Is it me, or does this look like a movie poster for Any Given Sunday 2?

Turns out, that lassie is Rita Benson LeBlance, the granddaughter of the Saints owner. She's 31, she'll probably be running the team one day soon, they're real and they're fantastic. Or so says Reggie Bush. Not really.

I do like that she's carrying the ball in thie photo, while wind blows her hair around and Drew and Reggie.... do what, exactly? Are they posing like New Kids on the Block or something?

News Bulletin: Notre Dame Fans Remain Classy

Wow. So as you probably have seen if you're a scouring scoundrel of the Interwebs, The Big Lead took some flak from ND "fans" over posting the fairly innocuous pictures of Jimmy Clausen drinking at a party. Well, the drinking was fairly tame -- the outfits were fairly embarrassing.

As TBL displays in a post today, here's an example of an email he received regarding those pics:

Hey,

What kind of scum sucking c**t posts pictures of college kids drinking beer at a party?

I don’t give a sh*t if it was J**** F**king Ch****, only a worthless cocksucker trades in this kind of sh*t.

F*ck you.

I can only assume this email came from Charlie Weis, Rudy or Jimmy Clausen's mom.

And yeah, I know, I know, one mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, douchenozzle doesn't represent an entire fan base... sure, sure, I've heard that before. And it's true.

Most of the time.

---------------------------------------

Also, hey, if you didn't bother clicking through to see the other pics TBL has, here's perhaps my favorite one. Is that a shredded bottom shirt Jimmy Montana is wearing? Oh, dear, does our hero also tie the little shirt off to the side in order to expose his midriff while prancing around his room wearing leg-warmers and aerobecizing to "Maniac"?

Favorite NBA Playoff Pictures

I love sports but I just endless apathy for this supposedly to-die-for NBA Finals matchup between two truly unlikable teams. I've already detailed why I can't root for either of them, so instead I'll just share that this picture is now one of my favorites from this year's playoffs:

The guys carrying him awkwardly... his legs all splayed out... Pierce crying like he's an oversized infant. It's just brilliant. And let's not forget if he really were so horrifically injured that he needed to be removed from the area this way, I imagine the team doctor would have ordered more smooth transportation than, you know, five guys carrying him like a piece of furniture.

I love the picture so much that it's close to usurping my favorite picture, which is this one:

I love LeBron's "Are you effing serious, Mom?" face... I love that Pierce has got to be saying something about him being a mama's boy... and Garnett is just hilarious here, too. It looks like he's putting the moves on LeBron's mommy. How YOU doin? And somehow, the guy wearing his leather jacket indoors in May wound up with the basketball.

Just wanted to share a couple pics I rather enjoyed. As you were.

Pictures of Sadness

Here are a few pictures that make me laugh...even though the event made me cry and curse.
