Okay, so we all already thought the Motor City Bowl kind of sucks. And you may recall that Dorien Bryant didn't even want to go play in it.
Well, maybe it's because of the crap that they get for being there. All the other bowl games seem to give away pretty cool shizzle to the players participating, such as the following:
Pacific Life Holiday Bowl: Nintendo Wii, Madden NFL 08, Fossil watch, sweatshirt or polo, cap.
Champs Sports Bowl: Party at Best Buy store, $400 Best Buy gift card for each player, Timely Watch Co. watch, Panama Jack sunglasses, Panama Jack t-shirt, hat, goody bag with snacks, drinks, etc.
Texas Bowl: Watch, duffel bag, hoodie, t-shirt, cap, Nocona cowboy boots, belt buckle .
Meineke Car Care Bowl: Garmin portable GPS, Fossil watch, Armor Gear laptop bag, cap (strangely, no mufflers).
Las Vegas Bowl: Apple iPod touch, Under Armour Aero sackpack, cap, ESPN the Magazine 1-year subscription.
And on and on.... do you know what they get at the Motor City Bowl?
A Timely Watch Co. watch, a Mercury Luggage leather rolling duffle bag, and a ball.
Are you serious? A freakin' ball? And a duffle bag? Those are nice. I wonder how many of those will be left in the locker room.

You said "sackpack!"
Hey, the Poinsettia Bowl is tonight. Can't wait to see my other alma mater (Utah)play Navy! Maybe the two 'Utes can do what UND couldn't - win.
Why watch this game? Because if you don't, then you can't say you watched every bowl game.
Ummm...aren't these supposed to be amateur athletes? WTF is this? A GPS? An ipod?? Something doesn't seem right......
So, I found out something that I had not paid attention to last night. Utah has won its last 7 bowl appearances. Now, granted, most of those are some pretty weak bowls (example: What's-the-Point-settia-Bowl?), but toss in a Fiesta bowl win and they have done something Purdue only wishes it could. I'm still much more attached to the Biolers than the Utes. Last night's win was nice in that Utah did what UND couldn't - beat Navy. Other than that, a Purdue loss bugs me for a day or two - a Utah win sticks with me for a couple of hours, as does a loss, and then forgotten.
