More reason to hate the NY Times and dislike Jim Delaney even more

"Notre Dame is the most glamorous team in college football, with a history covering Knute Rockne and Joe Montana and, if the movies are included, Pat O'Brien and Ronald Reagan."

Note to Jim "ND Shill" Delaney-
Stop fricking acting like UND is the pretty girl and the Big Ten is the dorky kid looking for a prom date.

UND is the chubby, almost pretty (in certain light), smart-ish girl with the over-rated football program and the underachieving basketball program (but a kickass women's basketball team, congrats) and you're the damned Big Ten. Act like it.

Stop kissing their asses.

As hard as it is to admit.....it would help the Big Ten financially to have ND as a member.

Screw them and their bandwagon advertising revenue. Accept them if they come to the Big Ten, but never ask them again.

Delaney already made it clear that he doesn't want a change to the BCS system - no +1 bowl game series. Heaven help us we we mess with the Rose Bowl or UM/OSU making it to a championship game.

Boilerdowd,

So....Delany is a bad commish and an asshole because......he wants to bring in more revenue to the Big Ten??? Am I understanding you?

Should he not try to bring in more $$$??

Am I missing something? That article was from 1999 & the quote wasn't by Jimbo.

After Jim was rebuffed, I think he's more likely to egg the stadium than ask again for a date.

SI's ballpark rankings are out. Cleveland comes in at #1

Last summer rumors swirled, many from Delaney's own mouth that another school was going to be added. This year, I've already heard a few rumors starting. I want the wound to stay fresh...Delaney, sadly, left the door open for UND to b*tch slap the conference again...I just don't want to see it happen.

Also, the reason the quote is highlighted is the mere fact that someone would call UND the most glamorous program in the land makes my skin crawl.

Matt, you think that's what I'm saying? Notre Dame is not the only way to generate revenue; you know better than to insinuate such sentiment.
