With Notre Dame's impressive victory over a .500 WAC team on Christmas Eve, I guess we'll be retiring the "Notre Dame no bowl wins since 1994" tag.
Congrats to this stellar, 7-6 UND squad. I especially liked Jimmy Clausen giving the crowd the "shhhh" gesture as his team was stomping on the Rainbow Warriors. Classy, as always, Jimmy.

Teaming with talent, that UND squad is. Seriously, you had to play a middle-class WAC squad to get a bowl win? Does that even count? Oh, it does, because the standards have been lowered sooooo much.
Notre Dame was right where they were supposed to be this post-season versus the opponent that was at the correct level.
Chuck Weis has delivered UND to the greatness that once was. Congrats, UND fan. As Purdue fans, we know how great it feels to win a bowl versus an opponent such as UH. Savor it!
Towards the end of the season (but before the Syracuse debacle), the geniuses at Her Loyal Sons were stumping for an "easier" bowl game opponent so that ND could end their streak. I guess they got what they wished for.
I, however, will continue to support the "boring" Purdue football team.
Plang, does the '02 Sun bowl count? As I recall Purdue finished 7-6 that season and beat a five lose Washington team in the Sun bowl. Any interest in taking that win off the books?
