Still a 5 Seed as Per Handsome Joe Lundardi

Joe Lunardi, whose voice makes me want to jam pencils into my eardrums, still lists the Boilers as a 5-seed and he currently has us playing VCU in Miami in the East region bracket. Like any of that is predictable.

I know Lunardi often brags about geeting 64 out of 65 teams right on average, but my dog could probably get 60 out of 65 right. Wouldn't it be fun to check his bracket at some point (like now) and then see what it looks like on selection Sunday?

In other numerical news, the Boilermakers dropped to 24th in the latest polls. Deserved, for sure.

I don't want any part of VCU.

I agree, that sounds like a horrible first round game for us.

They are all horrible matchups. Foul shooting and passing (low turnovers) get us to the sweet 16. Don't convert free throws? Don't advance. Easy equation. You listening Matty?

I fear Musty burger has poisoned me. I didn't think twice about calling Coach Painter "Matty". I never tutored him (but I did tutor some of the other players in his age bracket) but I'm pretty sure he would have cold-cocked me if I called him Matty. Matty. Matty. Matty mat mat. Matty Matty Matteroo.

Give me Bob Knight as a commentator anytime.

Dammit, of course they are playing in Miami when I will be there two weeks later...

Purdue, in my opinion, can earn a good locale and maybe move spots 1-2 (I think they're a 5 as they sit) either way...but if they lose to PSU or IU, they'll probably be sent out West as a 7...playing the highest 12 seed.

They can help themselves quite a bit, in my opinion with a good showing.

T-Mill,

Just book your tickets for Detroit, so you can catch them there.
