Despite the fact that Purdue football is just so damn "boring," the Boilermakers will play their annual grudge match against Notre Dame at 8 PM on Saturday evening, 9/26. Presumably, lights will be brought in. (Though, given the way they grow the grass strategically in South Bend, Fat Charlie will likely insist on a kill switch for the lights to use at his decidedly advantageous discretion.)
The game will be on ABC or ESPN which, you'll recall, was the prime spot for some of the best games of the year last fall. I don't mean to doubt our boys, but I don't see this one being one of those kinds of games.
Looking forward to Chuck's last season, though.

I don't either.
The last primetime game we had at home on ABC was against OSU two years ago, if I recall correctly... That one was a hurter. I was in the second row in the student section. The place was amped and we still didn't score a point until the last play of the game.
Don't forget the last time ND and Purdue played under the lights at Ross-Ade. Complete annihilation, including one of the greatest catches I have ever seen live (the Samardzija diving one hander).
Purdue has an affinity for getting pounded by good teams in national broadcast games the last few years and ND should be pretty good this year if Charlie stays out of his own way.
I'd like for this one to be close but I'm thinking its 05 all over again in this game.
your boring team will get destroyed by the "genius" on his way to 10-2 and a decent bowl, while Purdon't struggles to .500 in a terrible big televen. and your boring blog should shut down. bo-ring.
Hopefully UND is ranked-highly...Purdue will have nothing to lose. And, Purdue's defense will be its strength with a solid front four and very good defensive backfield...UND will pass to the tight end all night long (just like '05 as well).
Purdue shouldn't have anything to lose, so I hope Charlie has "awakened the echoes"...again and Purdue has the chance to silence those ghosts.
Her Loyal Sons sucks. I'm willing to bet that the author(s) didn't go to ND.
