When I was listening to you guys over the internet, it sucked. When I listened over the phone it sounded great. Not sure what the disconnect there was.
My biggest complaint - not enough "Pickles" references.
I was listening to your podcast tonight, and I think I'm on the same page. I was at Puedue during the Billy Dicken and Drew Bress era. The players that stand out most to me were Mike Rose, Roosevelt Colvin, Wille Fells, Matt Mitrione, Vinny Sutherland, etc. Guys that were all hustle, balls to the wall pumped up to play the game. Giant killer attitutes. I think we will see more of that from Danny Hope based in what I hear (and this is limited) from his interviews and media observations. For me a 6-6 season with an all hustle attitude would be successful.
To use a basketball reference, I look to this team to look much like Matt Painter's first year as head coach. Not successful in the win/loss column, but laying a foundation of hard work and never say die attitude. Keep up the good work, and I'll be reading!
Thanks Kevin...I think you're right that a tone needs to be set this season regardless of attitude. The biggest shame of the equation might be that Joey Elliott isn't around for what's coming, in my opinion.
