Remembrance

I think there are countless examples of terrible television and horrid commercials out there, yet there have been a few through the years that have stuck with me as excellently done, examples to be proud of. This commercial -- aired by Budweiser only once, during the Super Bowl in 2002, mere months after the attacks of 9/11/01 -- is one such example.

It's barely a commercial at all, the rarity that pays tribute, does not try to sell anything and is, quite frankly, the company bowing their heads towards NYC. Bud used their most recognizable symbol -- the elegant clydesdales -- and said in a classy way, you are not forgotten.

This video is one of the few things that can always choke me up. Enjoy.

As a youngun - it was ISTEP review time in middle school for me when it happened - I would like to hear about what campus was like on the day of and immediately after.

Any stories would be appreciated.

People talk about the Apple "only shown once" commercial as being so enigmatic, timeless.

This Budweiser commercial puts that dystopic silliness to shame.

That commercial is even more sad since Anheuser-Busch is no longer an American owned company

They just played that commercial during the Bears game on Fox. Very moving.

They digitally added the work in progress Freedom Tower in the new commercial.
