Watch My Points Keep Growing: MSU Haterade

Sometimes it's easy to remember what you don't like about an opponent. Other times it's harder. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, BS is here to help. In a new feature (and you know how well we stick to new features), we'll help you figger out why you should hate Purdue's next opponent, mainly using third grade playground insults and other such high-brow stuff you've come to love BS for.

Up today: The Michigan State Spartans.

Have you seen the faces Tom Izzo makes? Sure, he's hard not to respect, but does anybody gnaw on officials more and still maintain his nice-guy image?

The Spartans hate America. How else can you explain the way they attempted to sink that aircraft carrier they played on with all those misguided bombs? (ZING!)

Their fight song proclaims that "Spartan teams are never beaten," yet Purdue swept the Spartans last season. So even the fight song has it wrong.

If that horn they blast at the Breslin Center to signify substitutions doesn't make you homicidal, then you're either deaf or a cyborg. Or a deaf cyborg, in which case you're programmed to be homicidal anyway.

Draymond Green only went to MSU because his name is Green.

Please feel free to add your own reasons below.

High Noon, tomorrow. ESPN.

I've lived in Michigan my whole life and I recently moved to Purdue for graduate school. I was at Purdue's Bowl game and my MSU friend texted me and told me to, "Stop embarrassing the Big Ten by the way we were playing."

Need I remind you of your embarrassing performance against Alabama last year? 49-7 incase you need a refresher... This came after they whined and complained about not going to the Rose Bowl, even went to the extent of posting Billboards around Detroit and Lansing proclaiming the Wisconsin vs. MSU score (MSU won) with a rose on it.

They whined and complained again this year that Michigan took "their" place in the Sugar bowl and what happens? They almost lose again!

I've grown up never really cheering for Michigan or MSU because both of my parents went to Purdue, but even Michigan doesn't bother me anymore.

Someone remind me why MSU is in the Top 10 with 4 losses and we aren't in the Top 25 with 5 losses? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me!

But don't you worry... I know how hard it is to win at MSU. I won't be surprised if we have a tough time there, but I will never disrespect another team win or lose the way MSU fans have disrespected others.

More Reasons to hate on MSU.

1) Izzo named his kid Mateen

2) The borderline homoerotic physical interactions between Izzo and players throughout each game.

SEE PICTURE in post...

Let's be honest. Sparty vs. Purdue Pete would make for a great Mascot Death Match.

I hate that Izzo projects this image of being wholesome and above the fray, yet he lives in the gray areas of shady recruiting practices. Also, sometimes he'll outright buy a recruit like Branden Dawson.

And that substitution horn drives me crazy too.

I went to the game @MSU last year. It was a glorious site watching JJ & Co. destroy them and all their fans leave early.

All very good points, but... It's that HORN. It makes the buzzer at Carver Hawkeye Arena seem pleasant. Sadly the Spartans are going to bitch slap our Boilers up and down the court... all day. This one will be over early.

Maybe this is a good thing? "As of 7:30 p.m. Friday, the Boilers had yet to leave West Lafayette in preperation for Saturday's noon game at Michigan State. The plane taking the Boilers to East Lansing was stuck in Milwaukee, according to Jeff Washburn of the Lafayette Journal & Courier."

Add to this that Izzo stood idly by and let the Izzone chant about Hummel's ACL.

He also refused to bench Dawson when he talked trash to Coach Painter. Could it be that Branden has something on Coach Izzo?
