Just finished listening to your Handsome Hour podcast. Loved the bit about you ripping into Tom Crean and IU's struggles. I literally had to replay that 3 times because I was laughing so hard and recalling how much turnover Painter had starting out at Purdue.
I remember Painter's first 2 years vividly (my junior and senior years at Purdue). In those years we lost the following players for one reason or another: Melvin Buckley (transferred to USF), Korey Spates (dismissed), Minnoy (transfer), Uchendu (transfer, R.I.P), Van Der Vieren (transfer), & Lutz (transfer). Throw in the ACL injuries to both Teague and Landry and that was a tumultuous 2 year-period that ended with 1 horrible season and 1 NCAA Tournament 2nd Round appearance. Not bad to say the least. Also throw in Gordon Watt being kicked off the team in Painter's third year (and with the baby boilers having to learn the post position basically by themselves) and I really can say that Painter has proven he is a darn good coach.
Also the Mission Houston T-shirts, what are your sizes? Is XL the biggest you got?
Finally, I like the podcast the way it is. But I understand the financial implications. I know avid boiler fans as myself will listen regardless of how much time you guys allot for your podcasts.
Keep up the good work and Boiler up.
Thanks a ton, Handel.
We only ordered up to XL on the shirts- there was an extra charge and we just weren't sure if we could surcharge the t-shirts into the $20 range.
We're still trying to figure out the podcast thing...BTR changed the rules on us and we're kind of in a pickle now.
